This Privacy Policy describes how Security Mixologists, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information (i) when you visit our website at securitymixologists.com (the “Website”), and (ii) when you create an account, purchase a subscription, or otherwise access training videos, courseware, and related materials (the “Licensed Materials”) that we host and distribute through our platform (together with the Website, the “Service”), as further described in our Digital Content Terms of Use and End-User License Agreement (the “EULA”). This Privacy Policy applies to visitors, prospective customers, and registered End Users (as defined in the EULA), collectively referred to in this Privacy Policy as “you.” It does not apply to information we collect from Content Providers in their capacity as Content Providers under our Content License and Distribution Agreement, which is addressed separately in our agreements with Content Providers.
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.
Information You Provide to Us. We collect information you provide directly, including when you: fill out a contact form; send us an email; schedule a consultation; create an End User account; purchase or renew a subscription; enroll in or access Licensed Materials; or otherwise communicate with us. This information may include your name, email address, billing address, company name, username and password, and the content of your communications with us.
Payment Information. When you purchase a subscription, our third-party payment processor collects your payment card or other payment information directly. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems; we retain limited transaction information (such as the last four digits of a payment card, transaction amount, and transaction date) for order history, accounting, and customer support purposes.
Account, Subscription, and Usage Data. Once you create an End User account, we collect information about your use of the Service, including: the Licensed Materials you purchase, access, or view; your viewing and completion progress; login timestamps, session duration, and device or IP address information used to enforce the single-user seat limitation described in the EULA; and your subscription status, renewal date, and Subscription Term.
Automatically Collected Information. When you visit the Website or use the Service, we automatically collect certain information about your device and browsing activity, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, pages or screens visited, time spent on pages, referring website, and date and time of visit.
Creator-Referral and Attribution Data. If you access or purchase Licensed Materials through a coupon code, tracking link, or similar mechanism supplied by a Content Provider (a “Creator Referral Link”), we collect information necessary to attribute that purchase to the referring Content Provider, consistent with the compensation terms of our agreements with Content Providers.
Cookies and Similar Technologies. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies as described in Section 4 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies) below.

What Cookies Are. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help websites and applications remember your preferences and improve functionality.
Cookies We Use. We use (i) essential cookies necessary for the Website and Service to function, including cookies that remember your cookie preferences and maintain your login session; and (ii) analytics cookies, including Google Analytics 4, that help us understand how visitors interact with the Website and Service.
Managing Cookies. You can manage cookies through our cookie banner, your browser settings, or applicable opt-out tools, including the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Website or Service, including your ability to remain logged in to your account.
Do-Not-Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers and browser extensions transmit a “Global Privacy Control” or similar opt-out preference signal. Where required by applicable state law, we treat a properly transmitted Global Privacy Control signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising for the browser or device that sent it.
We use third-party service providers to operate the Website and Service, including a payment processor to handle subscription payments, a hosting or learning-management platform to deliver Licensed Materials, an email or communications provider, and Google Analytics for website analytics. These providers process personal information on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for any purpose other than providing services to us. GoDaddy is used for web and application hosting. Stripe is used for payments. Microsoft is used for email. Google is used for collaboration. OpenAI, Anthropic and SpaceXAI are used for AI services. Dropbox is used for storage.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not use your personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. We may share your information only as follows:
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, authentication requirements, and periodic security review of the systems that store or process personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your End User account, comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations (including the Revenue Share reporting and record-keeping described in our agreements with Content Providers), and resolve disputes. Following account closure or Subscription Term expiration, we retain account and transaction records for a reasonable period consistent with these purposes and then delete or de-identify the information, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Applicability. A number of U.S. states have enacted comprehensive consumer privacy laws that may apply to our processing of your personal information depending on where you reside and whether we meet each law’s applicability thresholds. As a matter of Company policy, we make the rights described in this Section 10 available to all U.S. residents, regardless of whether a particular state’s law formally applies to us.
Core Rights Under State Privacy Laws. Most state privacy laws (including those of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island, among others) provide substantially similar core rights: the right to confirm whether we process your personal information and to access it; the right to correct inaccurate personal information; the right to delete personal information; the right to obtain a portable copy of your personal information; the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling; and the right to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. As stated in Section 6, we do not sell personal information or engage in targeted advertising, so no opt-out action is currently necessary for those rights.
Right to Appeal. If we decline to take action on your privacy request, you may appeal that decision by contacting us using the information in Section 15 and stating that you are requesting an appeal. We will respond to your appeal within the time required by applicable law. If your appeal is denied, certain states permit you to contact your state Attorney General to submit a complaint.
California (CCPA/CPRA). If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, applies to us, California residents have the additional rights described below.

California — Additional Disclosures. We do not sell or share (as “share” is defined under the CPRA, including for cross-context behavioral advertising) personal information, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve (12) months. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose other than providing the Service, so the right to limit use of sensitive personal information does not currently apply. We have not offered any financial incentive in exchange for personal information. California residents also retain rights under California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code § 1798.83) to request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes; we do not make such disclosures.
Nevada. Nevada residents may submit a request directing us not to sell their covered information, as defined under Nevada law. As stated above, we do not sell personal information, but Nevada residents may still submit such a request using the contact information in Section 15.
Minors. The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of, or use it for targeted advertising directed at, any known minor under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, or otherwise from a user under 18 in violation of this Privacy Policy, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the information in Section 15.
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law, and you may contact us using the information in Section 15 to exercise those rights.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy, or to our collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information, is subject to the binding arbitration, class action waiver, and dispute resolution provisions set forth in Section 9 (Governing Law; Binding Arbitration; Dispute Resolution) of our Digital Content Terms of Use and End-User License Agreement, which is incorporated into this Privacy Policy by reference. By using the Service, you agree that those provisions govern any such dispute, including if you are not otherwise a party to that Agreement.
The Website and Service may contain links to third-party websites or services, including social media platforms used for promotion under our agreements with Content Providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party website or service, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page and, for material changes, will provide additional notice as required by applicable law (for example, by email to registered End Users or a prominent notice on the Website). Your continued use of the Service after a revised Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
